AZURING™: the blue ring that seals

AZURING™ is a small blue O-ring built into the tip of CLINIMED's machined male luer locks. It is a CLINIMED design and you will only find it on CLINIMED devices.
Why a luer connection needs it
A standard luer lock seals on a metal-to-plastic taper. During a case that joint is handled and twisted, and on power-assisted systems it is vibrated constantly. Over time a plain taper can loosen, and a loose luer can weep tumescent fluid or lose vacuum.
AZURING™ adds a soft seal at the tip. When you connect a female luer, the ring is compressed between the two parts. It is designed to give:
- Less vibration at the joint, so the connection stays put
- A tighter, more positive fit you can feel as you lock it
- Less leakage between the male and female luer
Made for the operating room
- Medical-grade silicone
- Fully autoclavable, reprocessed with the device
- Blue, so you can see at a glance that it is in place
- Fits any standard female luer connector

Care
Check that the blue ring is seated and undamaged before each use. Clean and sterilize the device according to the CLINIMED Instructions for Use; the ring stays in place and is autoclaved with it. If the ring is cracked, flattened or missing, contact info@clinimed.us.
